The Queensland Cruising Yacht Club (QCYC) is located on Cabbage Tree Creek, in the picturesque Brisbane bayside location of Shorncliffe.

With easy access in and out of a well marked channel, QCYC is a perfect place to begin your explorations of Moreton Bay. The marina offers overnight, weekly or long term rental and there is a large hardstand area for power boats and trailer sailors.

Founded in 1948, the Club was originally formed by a group of passionate sailors for the purpose of hosting the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. This thrilling event held over Easter has become one of the major highlights of the Australian sailing calendar, anticipated equally by the participants and the many thousands of spectators.

The Surf to City Yacht Race from Southport to Brisbane, the Bribie Cup and the Vintage Yacht Regatta have since also become firm fixtures in the Club’s portfolio of prestigious annual sailing events.

In addition to these signature events, the Club has a full program of winter and summer sailing for sailors of all abilities offering keen competition, cruising opportunities or just the chance to improve your boating skills amongst likeminded Club members.

You don’t have to be a boatie to enjoy all that Queensland Cruising Yacht Club has to offer, the Clubhouse boasts full dining and bar facilities with a wonderful waterfront outlook. As well as being a haven for members it is also an excellent venue for functions. Weddings, engagement and birthday parties and fund-raising dinners can all be individually designed to suit your needs.

Whatever the occasion the staff and members at Queensland Cruising Yacht Club look forward to welcoming you.
