The Winter Series at Queensland Cruising Yacht Club is open to yachts from any affiliated club. Consisting of seven races this series commences in June and finishes late July each year.

The series includes the Winter Bell challenge, a Club event held between the Sandgate Yacht Club and Queensland Cruising Yacht Club and the Otter Rock Plate, a passage race that for 2012, starts from Morton Bay Yacht Club.

The Winter Series attracts a combined fleet in the region of thirty to forty entries from the Brisbane area and northern NSW. Depending on entry numbers, the fleet in normally split into two monohull divisions and one multihull division.
