Dredging of Cabbage Tree Creek begins
Mariners are advised that dredging operations are to be undertaken in the Entrance Channel to Cabbage Tree Creek, approximate position latitude 27° 19.85' S, longitude 153° 05.35' E, commencing Monday, 12 March 2012 for a period of approximately 6 months. Activity will be concentrated in the Entrance Channel and upstream to the yacht marina.
Operations will be performed by the spudded dredge "STERLING", the tug "KIANDRA", work boat "SEAWEED" and other associated barges. The vessels will display the designated lights and signals and will keep a listening watch on VHF channels 16 and 12.
Mariners should navigate with caution and maintain an appropriate speed and distance off, when operating in the area.

Notice to Mariners
Locality: Cabbage Tree Creek, Shorncliffe
Activity: shoaling
Mariners are advised that shoaling has occurred between the first and second sets of channel
markers in the entrance channel to Cabbage Tree Creek, approximate position
latitude 27° 19.74' S, longitude 153° 05.45' E. Minimum depth of water in the centreline of the
channel is 1.1 metres at LAT with lesser depths away from the centreline.
Mariners should navigate with caution when operating in the area.
Locality: Cabbage Tree Creek
Activity: beacon destroyed, temporary buoy established
Mariners are advised that the lit port lateral beacon in approximate position
latitude 27° 20.032' S, longitude 153° 04.927' E in Cabbage Tree Creek has been destroyed.
A temporary lit port lateral buoy Q R has been established to mark the remnants of the destroyed
beacon.
Mariners are advised that the light characteristics have been altered for the night lead lights on the 'Coffee Pots' and that the intensity and range of the lights has been altered as follows;
'Coffee Pot' rear lead in position latitude 27° 19.9946' S, longitude 153° 11.5013' E has been altered to Iso Bu 2s
'Coffee Pot' front lead in position latitude 27° 20.0713' S, longitude 153° 11.6265' E has been altered to Q Bu.
