The Queensland Cruising Yacht Club offers a number of different types of membership to cater for all members of the community who have an interest in joining our Club. Categories range from Full Membership to Social Membership.
Full Membership
Full Membership entitles one adult use of all Club facilities, including access secure car parking. Full Members have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting. Yacht owners wishing to store their boat within the marina are required to be Full or Family Members.
Family Membership
Family Membership entitles two adults and two children to the age of 18 years, use of all Club facilities, including access to secure car parking. Both adults have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting. Yacht owners wishing to store their boat within the marina are required to be Full or Family Members.
Associate Membership
Associate Membership entitles the Member use of Club facilities during bar opening times, Club functions and race events. Associate Members are required to park opposite the Club and do not have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting. Regular crew and visitors are encouraged to become Associate Members. QYA requires members who compete in regular race events to be either an Associate, Family or Full member.
Country Membership
Country Membership is available for those residing outside a 150 km radius of Brisbane GPO. Country Members are entitled to make use of Club facilities at all times but are required to park opposite the Club and do not have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.
Junior Membership
Junior Membership is available for those up to 18 years of age. Junior Members are entitled to use Club facilities at all times but are not eligible to sign in guests nor do they have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.
Social Membership
Social Membership entitles the Member use of Club facilities during bar opening times, Club functions and race events. Social members are required to park opposite the Club and do not have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.
All Members are encouraged to bring their guests to the Club. Members are responsible for their guests behaviour and must ensure their guest signs the Visitors Register. Junior members do not have the authority to sign in guests.
If you are unable to be nominated for membership by an existing member we require the contact details of two character referees. All membership applications are presented to the Executive Committee for endorsement.

- The Joining Fee is a one off fee payable when initially joining the QCYC.
- All prices are inclusive of GST
- YA Silver Card is required for all sail training participants or those members who require a card under the YA Racing Rules of Sailing.
- Deposit for Members Keys is $40 per set.
