Queensland Cruising Yacht Club offers a variety of sailing activies throughout the year.

Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race

The Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race is organised by the Queensland Cruising Yacht Club for monohull yachts.

The Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race is an iconic Queensland event.  Internationally recognised, it is Queensland’s premier yacht race and one of Australia’s most high profile yacht races.

Enthusiasm for the race never dies - an estimated 60,000 spectators flock shoulder-to-shoulder on the foreshores (Sandgate to Redcliffe Peninsula) to see the race start and attend associated events and thousands more at the Gladstone Harbour Festival for the finish.

Between 50 and 70 monohull yachts line up each year - including many of the hottest Sydney to Hobart contenders and many of Australia’s most famous yachts - to tackle a tough 308 nautical miles.
